The cells in Excel are listed as numbers only

Question:

P.P. asks -- the cells in Excel are listed as numbers only. There are no letters at the top of the cells. What do I do?

Answer:

Excel has a way where you can list the cells as number and letters or just numbers. To remove that feature click on TOOLS, OPTIONS, and the GENERAL tab. This will bring you to a menu. In this menu go to the REFERENCE BOX. In that box you will see two radio buttons, one with A1 and one with R1C1. If the R1C1 circle is filled in, that means the cells are all numbers. If you are doing formulas the A1 circle should be filled in. Once this is done you click on OK and the cells should be listed with letters and numbers.
