Videoconferencing Presentation/Participation Guidelines
- Maintain occasional eye contact by looking directly into the camera. Remember that you have an audience at the remote sites that can see and hear you.
- Wear solid dark, neutral colors. Busy patterns can cause the camera to distort the picture quality at the remote sites.
- Since there is a slight audio time delay, try to speak in a strong, clear voice.
- Allow time for remote site audiences to read text visuals.
- Audiences should be aware that they will be on camera at times and may be seen and heard by the remote sites. Therefore try to avoid talking with each other since side conversations may make it difficult to hear the remote sites.
- Please allow a few seconds between asking and answering questions between remote site participants.
