Facilities Management Office
Most of us have our own idea of what "work request"
means. For the Medical Center Facilities Management
Office (MCFM), a Work Request is the paperwork that
activates set-ups, signage, painting and other defined
services. Work requests should be submitted to the Medical
Center Facility Management Office, located in Ross Hall,
suite B-07. The telephone number for this office is
202-994-5755.
Standard facility services include ceiling, desk and
wall replacement, etc., as well as the development of
a scope of services for major projects that may require
a cost estimate before proceeding with the work. If
the work request is for an event set-up, requiring tables
and chairs; the work request should have the appropriate
signatures and be submitted 5-7 business days prior
to the event. If you require assistance in the completion
of the work request, please stop by the Ross Hall Facility
Management Office.
Facility emergencies, are generally handled by a "trouble
call" to 994-6706. A trouble call is what you make
to address a small job (i.e. changing a light bulb or
ceiling tile due to a leak from pipes, etc.), or when
there is an emergency situation that needs immediate
attention (i.e., active leak from pipes, restroom plumbing
problems, other perceived emergency situations). Please
notify the Ross Hall Facility Office of all such calls.
For work request forms or more information, contact
Kenneth Crosson, Facility Coordinator for the GW-Medical
Center at 202-994-5755.
